Madekwe came from a multi-cultural family. Her birthplace was in South London. The father of her is Nigerian as well as Swiss as well as her mom is English. Madekwe was cast as Ashley Davenport on ABC's Drama The Beautiful Life. The two-episode drama aired just 2 weeks at The CW and then it ended. Ashley Davenport was her role in ABC's drama Revenge. Madekwe was a regular on the drama series of Revenge on ABC during two seasons. The show was announced in May 2013 that she'd quit the show after completing one guest appearance on the very first series of the 3rd. From 2014 until 2016, she starred in Salem in the role of Tituba. Madekwe and her partner who has been with her for a long time, Iddo Goldenberg, were wed in June of 2012. Ashley Leggat, an actress nominated twice for the Gemini Award, hails from the large Hamilton family.
