Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, a Canadian-American singer and songwriter. There are more than 20 albums that were released by her. DiFranco classifies her music as folk-rock or alternative, but it also has influences from hip-hop, punk and jazz. Ani Difranco is considered as a feminist icon and a Grammy award winner. Being one of the first female artists in the 90s, she founded her record label. DiFranco born on 23 September 1970 in the city of Buffalo in New York. She is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), who was introduced to Dante Americo DiFranco while studying at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father had Italian ancestry and her mom was Montreal-born. Ani Difrasco wrote and recorded the track "32 Flavors". The track is available on the album Not a Pretty Girl by Ani DiFranco, released in 1996. The soundtrack to 1999's Canadian romantic film Better Than Chocolate is a variant of this track. In 2013, DiFranco apologised after it was announced that she planned to host an event for three days at the former Louisiana plantation for slaves. The event was later cancelled yet she refused to express regret. DiFranco issued another apology several days later. While she's best known as Little Folksinger. However, her style encompasses many different types. The collaborators she has with her vary from Pete Seeger and Chuck D to Prince. The singer lives in New Orleans. Ani DiFranco is a friend of Kristen Ford. When she was 14, she had begun creating her own music. Teens were filled with performing them in bars and cafes.
